Three Things you did not know about the Menkaura Pyramid!



1) the Gash was made in about 1193, at the death of Saladin. His son, free from dad's control, inherited Egypt and went after the loot. We show he must have had access to a legend in the Arabian Night which tells of thirty chambers in this 'western pyramid'. In other words, what archaeology records as a 'attempted demolition of Giza' was actually a TREASURE HUNT! It was a quest to look up and down above the subterranean entrance to look for a chamber to find internal chambers which parallel the Great Pyramid! Saladin's son died only five years later of a hunting accident!

2) Menkaura's pyramid used to be known as the Coloured Pyramid. This may be because of the weird pink granites on the surface. Its casing stones look pre-Inca rather than like the casing stones of the other two so I speculate it was built in a different time period, possibly after the other two were built! In fact we can use the Inca similarities to show that the Pre-Inca Stones of Cuzco might also be built in Menkaura's period of 2500 BC!

3) Vyse found a Sarcophagus which is lost! Although said to be from the Saite period, it may actually be from the time of actual Menkaura. I talk about Archaeism in Art, basically, every dynasty copied every other dynasty.... so WHO can tell? AMAZING!
